Meet Jill Gorres, one of the veteran employees of JA Counter and a Rising Star of 2020!! Jill was born in Indiana, grew up in Minnesota and eventually crossed the border into the fabulous state of Wisconsin to attend college at UW Stout in Menomonie. Jill still resides in Wisconsin.
Jills’ first jobs were as a gymnastics coach and babysitter, but her first “real jobs” were in a hair salon working as a receptionist and working at a flower shop. When Jill was asked who her hero was, she responded, “All my mom’s. I have 4 and Linda makes 5”!
A few things we may not know about Jill;
- She loves all sports and is a MN Vikings fan (okay maybe we all knew that already!)
- She has 5 brothers!! 4 stepbrothers and 1 half-brother. That’s a lot of brothers!
- Her least favorite household chore is “all of them” (oh, and the toilet paper hangs over)
- Jill claims she does not have a secret talent but does have a secret non-talent…. Jill cannot whistle!!
Jill married her husband Nick in 2013 and they welcomed their first son into the world in April 2017 and their second son in January 2019.
Jill is extremely involved in our community through the Chamber, St. Croix Valley Employers Association and Wisconsin SHRM. Her drive to stay involved is due to her passion in connecting with people and supporting the professionals in the community who help make a difference through their employment and communities every day!

- Food: Mac and cheese, pizza or anything with cheese. She was clearly meant to live in Wisconsin!

- Restaurant: All of them, it means she doesn’t have to cook!!
- Movies: Dirty Dancing, Sweet Home Alabama and The Proposal

Jill might be crazy ’bout Swayze but JAC is crazy ’bout Jill Gorres (and would be crazier if we didn’t have her on the team)! We are so lucky to have her and want to say thank you for all you do, always helping, setting the bar high, and always making a difference!
